EE234: Smart Grid Sensors and Data-Driven Applications

This course is on a timely subject and it covers the recent advancements in the area of smart grid sensor technologies as well as data-driven applications and machine intelligence. There has been a drastic change in the power systems industry in this field, due to the advent of a wide variety of new sensor technologies, that have unmasked several new data-driven applications in the field smart grid, as well as the advancements in data analytics and big data. In addition to covering the state-of-the-art and emerging sensor technologies; this course will also cover proper methods for using sensor data in innovative smart grid applications. This course serves as a comprehensive resource and a gateway to these recent advancements for the MSOL students to provide them with the knowledge and skills that are needed to be ready for the growing demand in this field within the subject area of power systems.
